Day 4RhinelandAmsterdam - Cologne - Rhine Cruise - Rhineland: Travelling east, we cross the border into Germany stopping in Cologne to see the iconic twin spires of its imposing Cathedral, which is said to be the final resting place of the Three Wise Men. We cruise from Boppard and St. Goar along the mighty Rhine, lined with medieval villages and fairy-tale castles that cling to the lush green hills. Day 6LucerneLucerne Excursion: Spend the day exploring the charming medieval town of Lucerne, paying tribute to the Swiss Guard who lost their lives defending Louise XVI during the French Revolution at the mournful Lion Monument, and admiring the splendour of the flower-lined Chapel Bridge with its 17th century paintings. Spend the rest of the day at leisure ambling along cobblestone streets lined with ornate facades in search of the perfect Swiss chocolate, or perhaps join an Optional Experience up one of the surrounding peaks for spectacular panoramic views before returning to scenic Engelberg. Day 7InnsbruckEngelberg - Liechtenstein - Innsbruck: Admire rugged alpine scenery en route to the fairy-tale Principality of Liechtenstein stopping in the capital, Vaduz. We cross the Austrian border, meandering along the spectacular Arlberg Pass amidst a sea of snow-capped mountains through the Tyrol to Innsbruck. Visiting its Altstadt where we will see the famous Golden Roof completed in 1500 for Emperor Maximilian I to mark his wedding.Buffet Breakfast

Day 11RomeRome Sightseeing: Delve into the treasures of the Vatican City with a Local Specialist who will take you on a sightseeing tour through St. Peter's Basilica to see Michelangelo's sorrowful Pieta. We cross the Tiber into Ancient Rome to see the mighty Colosseum where brave gladiators fought to the applause of exhilarated spectators, and enjoy views of Circus Maximus which once hosted chariot races. The rest of your day is yours to explore the sights and sounds of the capital of the world.
